Born and raised in the Midwest, I grew up with a very strong fondness for nature, especially for animals. Every single profession that I declared I was going to do involved animals in some way, and eventually I even got a degree in biology. As I was working towards my degree, I spent a few years working at a small natural history museum, and as I worked there, my mind became full of wonderful, amazing ideas and thoughts. What intrigued me most of all was all of the taxidermy in the museum - It was all so amazing to think that an incredibly trained person could take a lifeless animal, and breathe what life they could back into it (well, most of the time anyways...). I even got to try my hand at taxidermy-ing my own squirrel!

After I graduated and had to leave the museum, I moved out to Portland, Oregon, where the amazement of everything from the museum was still active in my mind. Shortly after getting settled, I quickly found a new way to bring life into my own creatures, but this time I got to add some of my own flare - cuteness! (I am not saying that mounted animals aren't cute, but sometimes they can look a little...creepy...)

I have been slowly deviating away from just the owls, and have been including other pocket animals, but also some small plants and even mounted heads, into my inventory. The best part of what I do is making anything I want turn into a tiny, fuzzy critter that can fit almost anywhere, for others to enjoy and love.
